Amusing Little Story
So far Ive played (read?) two "gamebooks" in the series--this one and the Spider God--and of the two, this is the superior. Writing is hit-and-miss, but overall it works. The story is linear and contrived, but a fun diversion--one great aspect is that your character has a personal motivation to continue through his (Id say or her, but I get the feeling the story is written to assume the protagonist is male) quest. The personal element of the narrative is what makes this one so fun, and, if you play right, in the end the story finishes as a compelling personal journey.
