Great game of this type!

I wasnt big on the music but the story was fun and the game system well designed. Some typos that irked me.

Very well done

First time reading/playing a book/game. I enjoyed it a lot. My wife and I did it together and took turns making decisions. There was a few typos but it didnt take away from the story. Very well written and lots of story paths to chose from. I will try another book for shore.

Perfectly okay

Overall, it was okay... the fights took way too too long. Got it when it was $.99, but not worth the original price.

Overall a good experience

It felt like I was a kid reading a cyoa from the library! Awesome. It took me a couple of lives to make it through, so good value. The writing was a bit off at times and typos were fairly common. However, I had a lot of fun with it. Fantasy isnt my genre but Id love to do a gamebook in sci fi or horror.

Great Story

As a major player/reader of CYOA, VNs, and Gamebooks I can say that this is both well done and a particularly interesting story. Highly recommended.

I have expected more from Tin Man Games

This book is not that great as previous GA:s both in terms of rude illustration, and almost-non-Orlando-realm related story line. Intro part is quite trivial and linear (even when you think that you have a choice), then things gets much more exciting. Last bad thing is triple stamina check in the very end, but dont worry - you have to pass just first one, nothing else matter...

Good book, fun adventure

When you get on the bad side of the necromancer, betrayal and murder are just the beginning. A solid adventure, a lot of fun, some wrong turns and some surprises. Couldnt ask for a lot more. Except maybe some more healing. The combat system in these books is just brutal.

Tin Man Games Strikes Again

A fantastic new addition to the Gamebook family. The app store really needs more developers serving up games that are this good. Totally addictive and highly entertaining. The battle system is so unique and well suited for the game and the story is so engaging. A must-have!

Always a winner!

I have all three of the other apps these developers have and I absolutely love them all. If choose your own adventure books and D&D had a child... This is exactly what they would get. This particular one though has a few misspellings and I dont know why but they changed their pictures... Bring the old illustratore back pls, the new ones just look way too cartoon like. However, keep making these and I will defiantly keep buying them!

Surprises

The storyline it full of surprises. The path is still a little narrow, but the good writing makes up for it.

Im enjoying the hell outta this!

This is a really fun adventure read with plenty of dead ends, but such a fun story that I MUST keep trying :)

Amazing story

Ive been following Gamebook Adventures for a while now, and I have to say that, although each of them are great apps, the first one was my favourite due to an amazing story. Well this book just replaced Assassin in that spot, the story is really engaging, original and keeps you at an edge of your seat during the whole playthrough. I only wish it could last a bit longer, some parts seem a bit rushed, but its still an amazing game and you should absolutely get it if you are a fan of the genre.

Another amazing gamebook adventure!

Took advantage of the sale and this was the only one from the series I was missing. I love the quality of the Gamebook Adventures series and have been a fan since the first one. Great job Tin Man Games! I just finished playing this gamebook adventure and I must say that it is one of the most enjoyable in the series. The story had a few good twists and a nice change of scenery as opposed to the blander dungeon crawling ones. I would say if you had to choose only one of the gamebook adventures, then this would be the one to choose! =]

So much fun!

This game book really is an amazing piece of work. When you think youre finished the book tosses another curve at you that just gets you craving for more! Seriously so so so much fun, and Im a girl! I love playing dungeons and dragons so if you cant game all the time, this is a perfect way to satisfy that nerdy side of you. Well worth the money.

High production values...unfair dice rolls

This book/game is very clever and well designed. The interface is top notch, graphics are great. But the AI dice rolling is brutal. I am playing on easiest setting and have lost in every battle in past four tries. The AI seems to roll 6s at least 50% of the time.

Good but too short

My first adventure book purchase. Bought it while on sale and am glad I did. lots of ambiance and well written. Only complaint is that it seemed very shot. You see a lot of "turn to page 486" and what not, giving you the impression there are hundreds of pages and perhaps many hours of enjoyment. This is not the case. I was through it in a 2 hour sitting. I had hoped for more. Will I buy the others in the series? Likely yes but I will be waiting for them to be on sale at 0.99 cents. $4.99 just seems too high for such a short book. If it were a long rambling adventure I would feel differently. I am comparing this to games that have kept both myself and the kids busy for weeks on end for the same outlay.

Really liked it

Fun game with a good story really want to play the others! Whens the next sale? 25$ for the lot is a lil steep for me.

Inspiring

This is my favorite of the stories. Having beat it to the ultimate end, Im wishing to go now and write my own.

Fun

Really enjoyed it. Took me back to my childhood of reading these types of books, but with a fun dice game mixed in. Would recommend.

Frustrating

I loved the choose your own adventure books growing up so I took a chance on this while its on sale for $.99. I have spent a few hours with it, and while the writing is well done (though a bit repetitious, how many corridors and wooden doors can you go through before you get bored?) I find the ending to be horribly frustrating. Even with pretty good stats, gear and full health it is impossible to get through the last fights at the end of the game. Its all luck and the NPC rolls always seem to beat mine even though given my stats I should have the advantage easily. Nonetheless, I keep reloading and retrying over and over and over, which Ive been doing for the last hour, just hoping for a bit of luck on the rolls. I have now given up as the computer is clearly cheating on the rolls. Not fun at all to just reload from a bookmark and flip through pages Ive already read to spam the dice and be defeated over and over again. Cant recommend until the dice rolls are more fair.
